Fabrication Capabilities

 

Welding Department:       

TIG Welding:

  • 18 gauge and heavier on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Utilizing current technology with Lincoln Square Wave TIG 355 amp pulse and Hobart TIG Wave 250 amp

MIG Welding:

  • 18 gauge and heavier on mild steel and stainless steel
  • 12 gauge and heavier for aluminum
  • Utilizing current technology with (3) Lincoln DC 600 amp power sources and dual head feeders running .030” hardwire through 3/32” flux core with water-cooled MIG guns
  • Miller XMT 304 inverter running .030” and .045” wires
  • Millermatic 251 with spool gun running .023” through .045” wires
  • Hobart Pro Star Handler 120 running .023” hardwire
  • Lincoln DC 600 set-up for carbon arc cutting and gouging
  • Miller Trail Blazer 255 engine driven with all accessories to handle TIG, MIG, and stick welding in the field.

Automatic Welding:

  • Miller Straight line welder powered by DeltaWeld 651 cv.

Stick Welding:

  • Specialty applications when TIG or MIG are not applicable
  • Using Ideal Arc 250 and Miller Trail Blazer 255

Oxy-Fuel Processes:

  • Included are silver soldering, brazing, and manual cutting
  • Equipment utilized:
    • (3) Harris hand torch sets
    • (2) Koike track torches
    • (1) Smith Air Craft set

Manual Hand Plasma:

  • Utilizing Essab PCM 100 amp handheld torch with cut capacity of 3/8” thickness on mild steel.

 

Metal Working Department:

Forming/Bending:

  • Verson 45-ton mechanical press brake
  • Capabilities:
    • 10 gauge up to 60” long
    • ¼” plate up to 36” long
    • 3/8” plate up to 24” long
    • ½” plate up to 18” long

Rolling:

  • Webb ½”x10’ mechanical

Iron Worker:

  • Uni-Hydro 50 ton hydraulic
  • Capabilities:
    • 1” hole through ¾” plate
    • 4”x4”x5/16” notching accessory
    • 1 ¼” and 1 ½” pipe coupling accessory

Sawing:

  • W.F. Wells twin post horizontal model W-9
  • Capacity:
    • 9”x18” rectangular stock
    • 9” round stock
    • 9”x8” at 45° angle
  • Cosen Mitering Band Saw
  • Ellis 1600 mitering band saw
  • Capacity:
    • 6”x13” rectangular stock
    • 6” round stock
    • 7” at 45° angle
  • Scotchman circular cold saw Model CPO-350 with power down feed
  • Capacity:
    • 4”x 5 ½” rectangular stock
    • 4 ¾” round stock
    • Accuracy within .010”
    • Cobalt blades used for precision cuts on stainless steel

 Machining:

  • CNC (3) Axis Fryer MB-11 bed mill
  • Capabilities:
    • Table travel of 30” in the X-Axis, 20” in the Y-Axis, and 20” in the Z-Axis
    • 1,600 lbs. maximum table capacity
    • Capable of 3 dimensional contour milling
    • Typical machining operations

Drilling:  

  • American Hole Wizard Radial Arm Drill
  • Capacity:
    • 5’ long arm
    • 6’ high mast
    • 13” diameter column
    • 3” diameter drill
    • Counter boring and counterstriking
  • Clausing drill press
  • Capacity:
    • Holes up to 1” in diameter
    • Variable speed adjustment
    • Used with Tapmatic tapping head
  • Rockwell dual head gang drill
  • Capacity:
    • Holes up to ½” in diameter

 Lifting Devices:  

  • 6,000 lbs. Coffing chain hoist mounted on 360° jib
  • 4,000 lbs. CM chain hoist mounted on 180° jib
  • 18,000 lbs. Hyster forklift (outside)
  • 8,000 lbs. Baker forklift (outside and inside)
  • 50,000 lbs. American track crane (outside)
  • (2) 10 ton overhead cranes running the length of the production area

  • Complete assortment of hand tools necessary for fabrication
  • (2) Tungsten carbide metering devices

 Blasting Equipment:

  • Empire reclaim system with 300 lbs. capacity Clemco blaster in 12’x30’ booth
  • Clemco blaster with 12’x12’ blast area
  • Capabilities:
    • Blaster is capable of shooting media ranging from glass beads to steel shot
  • Empire blast cabinet
  • Capabilities:
    • Cabinet capacity of 2’x4’

 Painting Department:

  • Capabilities:
    • Binks high volume low-pressure system with 2 ½ gallon pot
    • (2) Sharp 1-quart pot guns
    • Titan Model 440 airless system
    • Paint area is 10’x30’ booth
